bass0
bass0 is a standalone track by Broken Composers, released on 7 November 2025. The five-minute release is available through the official Bandcamp player and the streaming platforms below.
Broken Composers make experimental electronic and electroacoustic music for recordings, installations, and live performances. Acoustic material and physical objects often become the starting point; recorded sounds are stretched, pitched, warped, and rearranged until they take on another form.
Some releases are directly connected to installations, while others stand on their own. Explore the recordings on Bandcamp, with links to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and other verified platforms where an identical release is available.

reAct is a Broken Composers single built around distorted voices, acid-inflected electronic sound, and a forceful techno progression. Its raw material comes from voices and percussion, altered through extreme but relatively simple processing.
We start with physical, acoustic sources: voice and percussion. In Ableton Live, these recordings are warped, pitched, stretched, and compressed, often beyond the values for which the tools seem intended. Instead of relying on complex plug-ins, we use basic processes until familiar material turns rough, uneven, and unstable.
Music for the Solid Revolver installation, in which a rotating cloud of light moves within a twenty-metre cylinder. The track accompanies an experiment with perception and the position of bodies inside the work.
This is the installation version of the music for Solid Revolver. Visitors entered the cylindrical structure as light continually changed its form and direction. The sounds belong to the same rotating environment, where each visitor chooses how to move within the mechanism.
A collaboration with the metal group Tsygun: their physical, analog-metal sound meets Broken Composers' electronic treatment. The track keeps the collision deliberately rough and direct.
Tsygun work with instruments such as aluminium guitars; Broken Composers bring their electronic and laser-cut approach to the collaboration.
Four pieces developed from radio-signal material connected to the pulsar PSR J1032−5804. The recordings accompany Broken Composers' sculpture, translating pulses, noise, and irregular bursts into an electronic composition.
The music and the sculpture grew from reworking astronomical radio-signal material. We translated the signals into sound and transformed them through wavetable and FM synthesis. Alternations of rhythm, random bursts, and noise became musical and visual structures.
Solid Revolver is the original single released on 29 February 2024 under rebenok.music. The recording runs for 4 minutes and 41 seconds.
It accompanies the project’s exploration of moving light, sound and perception. This single is distinct from solid revolver (install version), the longer 6:01 recording released on Bandcamp in June 2025.
Two recordings associated with the Laser Meadows installation, where abstract Laser Lumia patterns moved in time with the music. The release contains Laser Meadows Angle and Laser Meadows Curve.
The music belongs to the world of Laser Meadows, an installation through which visitors walked barefoot while abstract light patterns passed around them. This release presents two pieces from the project.
Four short musical pieces for Tetrahedron, an audiovisual installation where flashes and beams of light gather through smoke into a rising geometric structure. The music and the visual work were released together in August 2023.
Tetrahedron was created for an environment of brick columns, darkness, smoke, and a monumental tower of light. The release collects the four parts of its music as Tetrahedron 1–4.
Aftercolour is the single released on 2 April 2023 under rebenok.music. Its title preserves the spelling used by the music services; the related installation is titled Aftercolor.
The installation was presented at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts in 2022, bringing spatial laser projection and music into the architectural setting. This release contains one recording, lasting 5 minutes and 3 seconds.
Xorosho is a single released on 20 July 2022. The 5:39 recording also appears as the sixth track on Deconstructed Techno, available on Bandcamp.
The album explores unconventional track structures and approaches to making sound, moving between dance-floor music and close listening. The Bandcamp player here presents Xorosho from that album edition, with its original album artwork.
Deconstructed Techno searches for freedom in unconventional track structures and ways of making sound. It can work on a dance floor, but on headphones the turns, interruptions, and unusual materials become another part of the experience.
We wanted to explore unconventional forms of tracks and new ways of creating sound, without losing the pleasure of music. One piece accelerates from 20 to 200 BPM. Another is built from a single strike on a radiator with a trowel. A third contains eighteen tunes; another uses a broken flute and a scroll.
These methods are not an exercise in making sound difficult for its own sake. The challenge is to turn apparent complications into unexpected musical beauty and happiness on the dance floor.
Broken Rooms is an eight-track experimental electronic and electroacoustic album released in 2019. Its title is also that of the duo's debut installation and audiovisual performance at the 2017 Moscow Biennale.
The release collects eight tracks, Broken Room 01–08.
